En-Jaw-ment

Think about a trying situation;
picture the gritting of the teeth,
the virtual body of frustration
intolerable beyond human belief.

Our jaws were involved in the reaction,
to the tense situation and the wait,
for the resolution of the happening,
and our disgust at what was scarce and late.

Torque-jawed, you might say--toleration,
that the misguided act had taken place,
ratchet-jawed, the verbal, loud narration,
at the loss of ambitious, sought for, face.

They jawed about it after it was finished,
ridiculous, the effort they put forth.
The problem was but scantily diminished;
all the whoop-de-doo, it wasn't worth.

Relax the jaw, and in celebration,
feast on the festive tasty fare in store.
Enjoy the laughter and the sweet libation
what the jaws and taste were waiting for.
