So Many Blessings
Thanks for all the thoughtful people You have made;
sent along the way when we are in a pinch,
for hot dogs potato chips and lemonade,
handy things, the preparation is a cinch.
For sand warmed by the sun before midday,
for dreams at night that fantasies bring forth,
morning music that so artfully they play,
when the snooze button is pushed—what worth.
That through the day the temperature control,
by the faithful thermostat we, trusting, set,
for tires we have checked that smoothly roll,
for people described above that we have met.
What can I say? No, I should not complain;
with reasonable health my body is okay.
So, let us comfort those who are in pain,
and thank the Lord for giving us this day.
