Self Reliance
"If you don't look out for yourself, no one will."
to you, it's repulsive; to your spine, a chill.
Who'll have your back when your favor is gone?
Avail yourself of the Grace that lives on.
So fleeting and fickle, popularity
Respect your own self; opinion, let flee.
There's company faithful on Heavenly throne;
He'll stay with you always, never alone.
Don't do self-pity; the spiral is deep;
tears not pretty, futility washed when we weep.
With freshly cleaned face, face the world out there;
Find solace and grace; join your savior and care.
A disservice you do when you battle what is;
put your foot out ahead, let the sun like a whiz ,
light up your way, take a step into day;
with hope in your heart, the world is okay.
You can join in when you choose to depend,
join your creator; to yourself be a friend.
