Music and Meditation

Waking to soft country music,
chords recalling times out of the past,
words of unrequited love and sweetness gone,
spirituals of love that can last.

The radio bringing back to me,
scenes of beauty, friends of yesterday,
how the Creator Spirit sets me free,
kind hands and consequences showed the way.

The anchor, and the lighthouse symbolize,
Spirit and Being on which we rely,
images inspire through our ears and eyes,
hope that holds us, on earth and on high.

Harmonies drifting on the air,
transport us to another attitude,
picturing the loveliness of there,
calming or enlivening our mood.

Misty morning, moderated atmosphere,
veils the warmth of color, subtle jewel,
nostalgia stirs the distant and the dear;
nature's music joins with soul's renewal.
