Gill Finnegan
His handle was Gill Finnegan,
a goldfish tried and true,
all over the aquarium,
brought joy to kids like you.
When to the doctor you must go
to get your annual shot,
Gill would entertain you so,
you feared the needle not.
He must have been a southern fish;
he never traveled north.
His angel fins with wavy swish,
took him back and forth.
Many a restless little kid,
watching his graceful dive,
when about to flip their lid,
Gill said, "Give me five."
They made you smile, those angel fins,
other fishies gave a grin,
to see old Gill give them a thrill,
they cheered for Finnegan.
Use your imagination;
adventurous thrill abound.
In the marine land nation,
fish rodeos abound.
to tame the bucking seahorse,
Gill gives quite a show;
Brahma bullheads bouncy course,
splashed 'til Gill said "Whoa!
When you again should chance to see,
through the aquarium glass,
your hero that will bring you glee,
Gill Finnegan will show his class.
