A Tree's Stages
A tree, in row of saplings has its place,
to break the rush of wind and lend its grace,
A tree grows up and brings to us its shade;
its leaves or needles cool path or glade.
A tree grows sturdy and possesses strength,
provides us lumber in its added length.
A group of trees when harvested frame a home,
hard to grasp, a lifetime's purpose grown.
Although we miss its waving shading grace,
a tree, at one time, can be just one place.
The seeds it produces grow into new trees,
to shade from heat and soften force of breeze
Your purpose on this earth, your crown has won;
beauty, shade, shelter, and a home, well done.
