Wearing and Wishing Green

Don't forget to wear the green,
celebrate with your colleen,
your shillelagh, what I mean;
Here comes St. Patrick's day.

No threat implied, embrace the fun;
a jig do for your favorite one,
a leprechaun his tricks has done,
in his deceitful way.

Cease seeking for that pot of gold,
the rainbow in its end can hold,
that rascal, misleading you, has told.
Just laugh the myth away.

Enjoy a pot of Irish stew;
wish your friend a blessing true;
God's Hands, it declares for you,
wear green and hail the day.
