Thrill of Relief
When our biggest thrills seem to be relief,
Thanks may be our option, even so.
If our outcome is not the worst in our belief,
We may decide to be cheerful as we go.
A smile in humor, seeing the amusing side,
Better than bitter attitude for what is not;
A gain, a necessary trip can be a pleasant ride,
When we miss the dreadful things we may have thought.
The breeze, the clouds, the balmy air may speak of rain;
But thunder in the distance can exciting be,
When realizing thirsty flowers refreshed again,
and home is refuge from our cares to flee.
