Snow Moon
Misty moon in the morning,
subtly greeting the day,
silhouettes dark gray branches,
winter sunrise on the way.
Misty moon in the evening,
a ghostly globe greets the night,
rising high in the sky, it brightens,
its glowing form softly white.
Moon's glow on the snow like the sea,
wave upon wave, greets cold dawn;
sun as a red globe touches the snow,
misty moon, fading, stars blink out--gone.
Snow moon, it's called, full and glowing,
again makes its circuit and fades;
more snow, maybe, coming and going,
snow season gradually draws its shades.
Will March now march in, lion or lamb?
the next phase, new life usher in?
unpredictable trickle or drifting again,
Surprise? Is it Coming of spring?
