Coming to pass

Lord, God, from ages past has spoken;
in time shall comfort be revealed,
a promise made and never broken,
by word of the Holy Father sealed.
Unflickering qnd relentless as ages roll.

To each sinful generation,
waiting for the promised One,
since the day sin brought tarnation,
the pardon will in Him be done.
Comes insistent, unwavering for the soul.

So, pass the ages, pass the years,
,promise glowing deep in longing hearts,
through war and hope, through joy and tears,
the prophets' words, the hope imparts,
that glorious, victorious, man may be whole.
